JOIN US for a BMAM Bluegrass PICKING PARTY (PUBLIC INVITED) and RIDE ON THE NARROW GAUGE TRAIN !!! All pickers with instruments ride for FREE !<\/p>\n

ATTENTION: BLUEGRASS PLAYERS all levels of play welcome! \u2013 The Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum\u2019s FALL FESTIVAL is including a Bluegrass Picking Party. PLEASE CONTINUE READING for ALL INFORMATION.<\/p>\n

Come early enough to have lots of picking time!<\/p>\n

You will be TAKING A TRAIN to the festival area, where there will be picking, ALSO face painting for the kids and other Fall Festival activities. Trains leave Sheepscot Station (the main platform with the Gift Shop) starting at 10:30 AM, 12 noon, (1:30 the last chance for picking), and (3:00 the last regular train). Return times from the picking field back to the parking lot are 10:42, 11:07, 12:12, 12:37, 1:42, 2:07, 3:12, 3:30 (LAST trip to parking lot).<\/p>\n

IN ORDER TO GET PICKING TIME IN, it is suggested that you get on board well before 1:30pm, stay in the picking area as long as you like during the event (most pickers are heading on the train back by 3pm).<\/p>\n

BLUEGRASS MUSIC ASSOCIATION OF MAINE will have a table set up for info about jams, merchandise & membership sign ups. Chairs will be set up there.\u00a0 While the event is rain or shine, pickin’ is weather dependent. Please check the website and facebook for any cancellations.<\/p>\n

BLUEGRASS PICKERS (with instruments) RIDE FREE \u2014 ***ALL GUESTS OTHER THAN PICKERS can get tickets at the station in the gift shop \u2013 $8<\/a> for adults $7<\/a> senior 60+\/$5-kids\/tots 3 & under-free.

LOCATION: The WWF Railway Museum is located at 97 Cross Street, Alna, Maine. Directly off of Rt 218. FROM Route 1 in downtown Wiscasset, turn on Rt 218 (aka Federal Street a block away from Red\u2019s Eats). Follow 4.5miles to Alna, Cross St. on left.
